As a result of our close collaboration with dermatologists, health centers, and occupational safety consultants, we have developed a product range over the years that is highly effective and complies with skin protection regulations.
Plum A/S is a Danish family business. Our roots date back to the 1860s. For over 40 years, we have been involved in industrial hand hygiene, providing effective and user-friendly solutions. We have also been active in the field of first aid solutions for more than 15 years, aiming to make the workplace environment safer with our products. We serve a wide range of users across manufacturers in every industry, as well as other institutions.
Of course, serving our customers and partners is our top priority, but quality and environmental protection are also highly prioritized by us. Our quality assurance system guarantees our customers’ satisfaction. We also hold the ISO 14001 certification.
Skin Protection and First Aid at Work
For nearly 40 years, we have been manufacturing high-quality skin care creams, hand cleansers, soaps, and dispensing systems for the entire business world. Our main task is to meet the needs of hand cleansing and care with gentle, effective products, ensuring healthy hand skin in workplaces. We are market leaders in the Scandinavian countries. Our products have been successfully used for years by people working in the retail and industrial sectors.
In recent years, we have continuously developed our expertise and created products that offer optimal hand hygiene solutions for the food industry, hospitals, institutions, and other organizations for hand washing and bathing. Among our new hand cleansing products, one of the most modern is the General or Strong cleansing wipe, which cleans without the use of water and has the significant advantage of being effective while not harming the hands, as it is equipped with hand protective additives. In the field of hand protection, the Ragtapasz dispensers serve as the link between first aid and everyday use products. A modern, fast, economical solution for minor workplace accidents. A portable version is now available as well. We have also attached this product in a standalone brochure format.
Currently, we offer the largest selection of eye wash solutions in the world, which provides quick first aid in the event of workplace accidents. This way, we offer companies the opportunity to optimize safety in the workplace. Our solutions are effective, flexible, hygienic, and last but not least, quick to use. We provide solutions that can be adapted to various areas and needs. They can be placed close to workplaces – typically where dust, dirt, and harmful substances may come into contact. Our Mission and Vision
To manufacture workplace hand hygiene products that meet needs, soft yet effective, and to produce safe and effective first aid eye washes that utilize our core competencies to develop, manufacture, and sell quality products. Our company name and logo should represent healthy, clean hands and eyes, high safety and quality, as well as innovations and reliability.
Quality Assurance and Environmental Protection
Quality assurance is one of our most important activities. We have formulated the Quality and Environmental Handbook to define structures and to document the workflows and procedures at Plum Company that directly or indirectly determine the foundations of our success: Quality product and satisfied customer!
The Quality and Environmental Handbook pursues the following goals:
- Description of the Plum Company’s quality and environmental management
- Definition of tasks and resources for processes affecting quality and environmental protection
- Definition of goals, rules, and planning, as well as description of the necessary managerial steps for implementation
- Ensuring continuous quality improvement and environmental protection and learning from mistakes through analyses, then executing tasks with corrections
- Meeting customer needs and legal requirements alike
The quality management system forms the basis of Plum Company for fulfilling the following requirements:
- ISO 22716, Good Manufacturing Practice GMP (guideline for “good manufacturing practice”)
- ISO 13485, medical products – quality management system – requirements for regulatory purposes
- ISO 9001, quality management standard – requirements for quality management + ISO 14001, environmental certification – instructions for use
The Swan Label
The Swan label is the highest Scandinavian standard trademark, which can be awarded to products that meet strict environmental regulations, such as: raw materials, processing, functionality, packaging, usage, as well as product transport and packaging.
The following products have received the Swan label:
- Plum Soft – dye-free, fragrance-free, and preservative-free soft cream soap
- Nature – dye-free and fragrance-free soft cream soap
- Nature Hair & Body – dye-free, lightly perfumed soft soap for body and hair
- Fresh – dye-free, lightly perfumed soft cream soap
- Mild – dye-free and fragrance-free extra soft soap
We are active members of:
SPT: The trade organization for companies supplying soap, perfume, and toilet products. As a member, we work together with legislation for the production standards of cosmetics. This collaboration greatly influences our experiences and production.
BHV: Germany’s registered association for skin protection
BPA: As a member, we work towards optimizing workplace safety standards and documenting them.
