The ZOLL Pedi-Padz® II pediatric electrode is specifically designed for defibrillation of children aged 0–8 years or weighing under 25 kg. The ZOLL AED Plus device automatically recognizes the connection of the Pedi-Padz II and switches to pediatric mode accordingly – delivering shocks at reduced energy levels, along with child-friendly visual and auditory instructions. The pads feature a clearly visible pictogram to assist with proper placement. Its use is recommended in educational institutions, children’s facilities, healthcare clinics, and home environments where care for children may be necessary.
